The Blogging has begun…
with, deservedly, little fanfare. Back in Philly getting ready for school (Wharton, MBA, 2nd year) after 10 weeks in Boston. Plenty of admin today - returning rental car, buying a telly, paying bills etc. Bright spot was being invited to my classmate Will’s for dinner. His wife Kara made a delicious lasagna, and we spent the night catching up (i.e. gossiping) about our respective school trips post-exams (him to Asia, me to South America), the military, Four Floors of Whores in Singapore, fellow classmates etc. Plus hilarious stories about Kara’s extreme-leftie college friends. A lot of the conversation, though, revolved around whether Kara had any single friends who met my basic criteria: smart, quick and cute (obviously, it’s more involved than that, but I start there). Apparently there is one, but she lives in Boston - but is visiting in September! However, I won’t be standing on ceremony…
So, we’ll see. American girls are funny (no, not in a bad way - they are just different), so we’ll see…
